What are slot cars?
Slot cars are electrically powered cars with a guide that follows a groove or slot on a track. Drivers manage the speed of the cars with individual hand controllers. The more you squeeze the trigger the faster you go. The goal is to drive the slot car around the track as fast as you can without flying out of the slot and crashing. This is no video game. Drivers develop hand-eye coordination and other skills needed to master slot car racing. Races get intense as drivers jockey for the lead. One wipeout and you fall behind.

Four lanes means four racers at a time. The Race Manager can run heats that rotate racers through each lane and the winners advance to the next round, culminating in a championship race. Some racers like to simply race without formal heats, trying out each lane and each car.
